Alumni and Friend support of BVU plays an essential role in the advancement of education at Buena Vista University.

In fact, for the majority of alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff the best way to support Buena Vista University is through an annual gift. We are grateful to all those who support BVU financially each year, no matter what the size of the gift. This support helps Buena Vista University meet the ongoing need for flexible unrestricted income to support our academic missions. These contributions are used by BVU on a daily basis where needs and opportunities are greatest.

When making your annual gift to BV, you also have the opportunity to designate your gift for a specific program or to a specific department. Here are just a few examples of specific funds to which you can restrict your gift to BVU:

• The General Scholarship Fund – support will provide financial assistance to make a Buena Vista University education possible for financially needy students.
• The Center Campus Resource Fund – support goes directly to the BVU Center location specified by the donor. These gifts strengthen the academic opportunities that Center provides and allow other students in that area to reach their education goals. It makes a difference to hundreds of students presently working toward their degrees at BVU Centers.
• The Chaplain’s Fund – gifts will directly support the campus’s spiritual life programs.
• BV Club – gifts will directly support the University’s athletic programs.
