Video Display Settings
return to faq | view as pdf

These steps will fix the display settings so you can project video from your laptop. To fix the display settings with the laptop and projector, right-click anywhere on the Desktop and select Properties.

The Display Properties dialog box will appear.

Click on the Settings tab.

Then click on the Advanced button located at the bottom-right.

You will then need to click on the Displays tab.

In order to project videos on the projector screen, you will need to change the primary-secondary settings.

The Monitor is the projector and the Panel is your laptop.

By default, the Monitor should be set to secondary (the button with the two overlapping rectangles).

The Panel should be set to primary (the button with two concentric circles).

You will need to switch the Monitor to primary and the Panel to secondary.

Then click the Apply button. Another box will pop up asking if you would like to save the changes, so select Yes.

Your laptop should immediately project after you change the settings. If you continue to have problems, contact 2FIX at 732.2349 for help.
