Tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year: $258/credit hour

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial Assistance is available to students from various sources. All students are encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Even if you are currently unsure if you will attend, completing this free application will help determine your financial need.

Types of financial assistance available to students:

Grants are funds that do not have to be repaid. They are usually awarded on the basis of financial need.

  • Pell Grants: Available to eligible students for undergraduate study.
  • Iowa Tuition Grants (ITG): Available to eligible residents of Iowa attending private Institutions. (Application deadline is July 1st.)
  • Agency Support: Available to many students through Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Services, Commission for the Blind, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and other programs. For more information, contact the agency counselors directly.

Phi Theta Kappa scholarships are now available to qualified students. Get more information and download the scholarship application.

Other scholarships may be available at some locations. Check with your local Center about availability and requirements.

Loans are made to students at low interest rates and must be repaid, but generally payments are not due until the student has completed his or her education. The Federal Stafford Loan Program is available through Buena Vista University.

Tuition Reimbursements are available through many area employers. Many companies will pay part or all of an employee's educational costs. Check with your company's benefits representative to see if you qualify. All tuition reimbursement benefits must be reported to the Office of Financial Assistance.

All Professional & Online Studies are approved for the G.I. Bill.

In addition to the above information, our staff is happy to answer any questions you have about applying for financial aid. Please contact your local Center to receive more information about how affordable our Professional & Online Studies can be.
