Men's Soccer Comes up Short at Carthage Tournament
The Buena Vista men's soccer team came up just short over the weekend as it looked to capture its first wins of the season. The Beavers fell 4-2 to Clarke College on Friday before falling 7-0 to Viterbo University on Sunday. Both games were part of the Carthage College Battle of the Borders Tournament.

Women's Soccer Drops a Pair of Tough Contests
The Buena Vista women's soccer team returned to the field over the weekend by taking part in the Carthage College Battle of the Borders Tournament. BVU was edged in its opener, 2-0, before falling 5-0 in the final game.

Cross Country Teams Compete at Central Invite
The Buena Vista cross country teams continued their respective seasons on Saturday by taking part in the Central College Invite.

Volleball Team Closes Out River Falls Tournament
The Buena Vista volleyball team closed out the River Falls Tournament on Saturday afternoon with a pair of setbacks to Hamline University and Bethany Lutheran, respectively.

Football Drops Heartbreaker to UW-Platteville
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville scored 21 fourth quarter points, including the go-ahead touchdown with 1:48 left to hand the Buena Vista football team a heartbreaking 21-14 defeat on Saturday afternoon. The game was the season-opener for both teams.
