When you think of Buena Vista University Women's Basketball, I want you to think "success." Our program has a tradition of success on the court by winning multiple Iowa Conference Championships and competing in the NCAA Tournament. Success has also been found in the classroom. The team has consistently been recognized by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association as a Top 25 Academic Team. The squad was ranked #1 in the nation on this list after the 2004 season.
The true success of this program however is the women who are part of it. The women who wear the Buena Vista uniform carry a tremendous amount of pride and are committed to being valuable members of the BVU community. When they leave Buena Vista, they take that pride to their communities, to their careers, and to their families.
Success on the court. Success in the classroom. Success in LIFE. It is a tradition of which the Buena Vista women’s basketball program is very proud.
