Here We Go
Again - To BVU
When family talk at home turns to BVU, Matt and Mike Brostad, twin brothers who are both sophomores in pre-physical therapy, can usually count on their dad, John Brostad SL’73, to re-tell one of his favorite college tales.
As the story goes, it was John’s junior year at BV, and he was doubling up on some upper-level math courses with Professor Lanny Grigsby at the same time he was taking physics, and the pressure got to the point where John started dreaming about math problems in his sleep.
“Sometimes at night, part of an answer to a math problem would come to me. I kept a notebook by my bed and would wake up and write it down,” recalls John. “A few years later, I told Mr. Grigsby about how I had dreamed formulas, and I remember he told me, ‘Oh, that’s good, that’s good.’”
